Find a quiet spot, immersed in nature and free from distractions. As you relax in the fresh air, imagine the oxygen entering your cells, providing increased energy and greater clarity of thought. Breathe in the ocean air, which will leave you feeling relaxed, energized and able to rest more soundly, while the therapeutic seawater will help calm your nerves, open your pores and remove toxins via the lymph system. Listen to the sound of the waves as they alter wave patterns in your brain, soothing and calming the mind. The heat of the sun warms body and soul – picture the sunshine (a main source of vitamin D) penetrating into your skin to help boost your immune system and strengthen your bones.

Once you feel in tune with your surroundings, take a few moments to simply ‘be’. Recognise the sounds and sensations that surround you and simply allow them to float over you. Gently, bring your focus to your breath, effortlessly inhale and exhale through your nostrils. Allow your breath to continue naturally and automatically, without force, and notice the gentle rhythm of your body’s response as it slows and calms in tune with your breathing. If you become aware of your mind wandering, gently bring your focus back to your breath. Allow your emotions and awareness to settle with your mind. Let go of any mental resistance and connect with your breath … the warmth and solitude of the present moment … the beauty of being you, right here, right now …
